We've discovered a charming little museum (Paul Guggenheim Museum) of a local artist who created his machines as a hobby while working as a shoe designer at the Bally factory for nearly his entire life. I need to do some research to find out which Bally shoes he actually designed. In the afternoon we also visited the Bally museum. Bally was a ribbon maker before it became a shoe company, and the museum has a fascinating collection of ribbons and shoes from the past century.
